We Dream ... We Believe!
Current subject matter is:
Earth's Features in this topic students will learn to identify landforms rocks and minerals they will provide evidence to explain how earths features are formed and change over time they will examine and make maps to show important land features it will also explore rocks minerals and soil soon as we learn about chemical and physical weathering and explore how weathering relates to erosion.
Topic 1: Maps & Data ( Start 1/3/2023)
Students will read maps to identify and compare earths surface features including water, landforms, boundaries, natural & human made points of interest. Primary focus is on the use of a legend to identify location, comparisons over time & use.
Topic 2: Patterns in the Earth's Features (Start date TBA)
Students will explore the patterns of Earth's surface features including how human engineering affects, mountains, earthquakes, volcanoes, canyons and how they cause and affect each other.
Topic 3: Rocks, Minerals, & Soil (Start date TBA)
Students will explore how rocks form and change over time due to erosion, weather and use of the individual properties of minerals. Students will explore similar topics about soil around the world.
Topic 4: Weather and Erosion (Start date TBA)
Students will explore evidence to show how weathering and erosion change the Earth's surface, including chemcial weathering, physical weathering, erosion, deposition, human use of land, and other
