We Dream ... We Believe!
Please be mindful of quarantine requirements for travel. I have listed the choices below.
If you are traveling , please follow the quarantine requirements. This is for your health and the health of everyone at OLH.
If you are traveling to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts as well as CDC Level 2 or 3 countries, you are not required to quarantine upon your return.
For all other travel you must quarantine upon your return. You can quarantine for 10 days when you get home or the other option is to test 3 days before you depart your vacation spot to come home, quarantine for 3 days upon your return and on the 4th day be tested. If both tests are negative, you may leave quarantine early.
These are the directives from the state of NY.
If your child has had a Covid test , they can not return to school until you get the test results. If the result is negative, he or she may return to school if their symptoms are improving AND are fever free for 24 hours without the use of medication. A doctor's note is required indicating the test was negative or a copy of the negative test result.
If your child has been quarantined or isolated due to Covid by the Department of Health, we need the letter releasing your child you will receive from the Department of Health. If the Department of Health has quarantined or isolated your child he or she cannot return without that release.
Masks with valves and neck gators are not allowed at OLH.
If your child has an injury or medical issue that prevents them from participating in PE class, they may not participate in recess or any other physical activities. All children need a doctors note to be excused from PE. They also need a note to return. Parent notes are not acceptable.
If your child is in grades 1, 3, 5, or 7 a current physical is required for this school year. I have sent several notices home. Please submit the paperwork ASAP.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call me.
Thank you for your cooperation.
