We Dream ... We Believe!
This is the latest guidance we have received from the Diocese and New York State.
All students who test positive for Covid, regardless of vaccination status, must remain at home in isolation for 5 days. The day of the positive test or when symptoms first appear is Day O. They must be at home for 5 full days. They may return to school on Day 6 if they are symptom free for 24 hours without the use of medication. They MUST wear at mask in school for days 6-10. This is on the bus also.
It is not necessary to test after the 5 day Isolation. If you do test your child and the results are positive, Isolation must continue for 5 more days.
If your student is unable or unwilling to wear a mask on days 6 through 10, they must remain home for a full 10 days. This is the requirement from NYS.
Testing is recommended upon learning of exposure and 5 days after exposure , regardless of vaccination status.
It is strongly recommended you test your child frequently( every other day) if they are not fully vaccinated.
Please inform us of any positive tests.
Please continue to encourage good handwashing.
Please do NOT send sick children to school.
If your child is ill, please Covid test them. If they are negative for Covid but feeling ill, please do not send them to school. Please do not medicate them and send them in. When the medication wears off, they will be feeling sick again.
All sick children will be sent home.
Students must be symptom free for 24 hours without the use of medication to return to school. We ask your cooperation with this.
If your child is going to be out of school for any reason, you must call the main office in the morning and inform us. A note is required upon their return.
If your child is out of school for more than 2 days, a doctor's note is required to return to class.
If you need at home tests, please let me know. We have many tests available

All incoming 7 graders must have the Meningitis vaccine. This is required to start school. Please note, the only exemption allowed is a medical exemption. There are specific forms that must be filled out. Please call me if you need these.
Students must be fully immunized to attend school. There is a 2 week grace period after which we are required by law to exclude your child or face fines.
I strongly suggest you make your doctor's appointments early.Last year several parents had a difficult time getting into the doctor.
If your child is not due for a physical, you can ask for an immunization only appointment.
I will need a doctor's note if the immunizations will not be received by the start of school. Please send in the updated immunization record as soon as your child is immunized.
Medications must be renewed each year. Written permission from the parent and a prescription from the doctor is required. Medication must be brought in by an adult in its original container. This is for over the counter medications also. No medications will be given without a prescription. This includes Tylenol and Motrin.
Thank you so much for your cooperation!
