During inclement weather, it is sometimes necessary to have a delayed opening or close school for the day. Our Lady of the Hamptons Regional Catholic School follows the school closing/delay plan of the Southampton Public School District. The decision to close is usually made by the principal, in conjunction with the administration of Southampton Schools. In the event that Our Lady of the Hamptons has to close due to weather conditions, School Messenger will be used to notify school families and staff. The announcement will also be posted on the school website (http://www.olhamptons.org and http://www.olh.org), and will be called into the following radio and television stations as soon as the decision to close has been made:
News 12 LI (12)
Channel 4 (NBC)
Channel 2 (CBS)
WLNG-FM (92.1)
Families living outside of the Southampton School District should monitor the availability of bus transportation in the event that Our Lady of the Hamptons/Southampton schools are open and your home school district is closed or has a delayed opening. In the event your home district is on a delayed opening and OLH/Southampton is opening on time, student lateness will be excused if their district bus transportation arrives to school late.
In the event of an early school dismissal due to inclement weather, parents will be notified via the above television and radio stations and also through the school website and School Messenger.
